SUGGESTED EQUIPMENT AND MATERIAL

PEN AND INK UNIT:
1.    12" by 9" Field Sketchbook (spiral) by Canson, Strathmore, or Cachet (same one as used for pencil)
2.    Pigma MICRON #01 (2 black and 2 brown or sepia)

WATERCOLOR UNIT:
1.    Watercolor Block Pad (140#, 10" by 14" cold press) by Canson or (9" by 12" cold press) by Strathmore
2.    Watercolor brushes: No. 12 round (yasutomo NB-38), 1-inch flat (yasutomo NB-48), 1/2 " flat  (yasutomo NB-48) and 1/4" flat (yasutomo NB-48)  Ask for the "Dean Law" packet at Varney's.
3.    Large  plastic Watercolor Palette tray (Jones # 1216) or (Robert E. Wood #5778) DO NOT GET SMALL PALETTES.  YOU'LL END UP BUYING A LARGE ONE ANY WAY BECAUSE YOU CANNOT DO THE WORK FROM A SMALL PALETTE!
4.    Large container for water (One quart milk bottle works great)
5.    Old towel
6.    Roll of paper towels
