PROJECT 15 - WATERCOLOR - Drawing two

Objectives:

• Students should exhibit skills at using watercolors as a presentation form.
• Students should exhibit skills which indicate an understanding of spatial organization, design detail and color harmony.
• Students should demonstrate skills at mixing colors.

Task:

1. Using watercolor block, sketch in pencil a drawing from one of Lin’s books in the Watercolor section.

2. Reproduce as best as possible the same hues as represented in the book.

Watercolor paper (block paper is suggested)
Watercolor brushes
jars for water
Palette for mixing colors
Pencils

Deadline:

Assigned: Tuesday, Oct. 11
Due: Thursday, Oct. 13; beginning of class

Approximate time to complete: 6 to 8 hours
