PROJECT 19 - WATERCOLOR: Drawing five

Objectives:

• Students should exhibit skill at using more than one type of presentation media to enhance their sketching abilities.
• Students should exhibit skills which indicate an understanding of spatial organization, design detail and color harmony.
• Students should decrease the time it takes to present a visual impression of design intent.

Task:

1. Mimic as precisely as possible, the rendering on page 174 of Lin: DRAWING AND DESIGNING WITH CONFIDENCE onto watercolor block.

2. The drawing should be approximately twice the size of that in the book.

Materials needed:

Markers as specified
Colored pencils
Roller Rule or other drafting equipment
11" by 14" marker paper
Pen and ink materials
Pencils, erasers
Yellow Tracing Paper
