PROJECT 24 - QUICK PERSPECTIVE SKETCHING

Objectives:

• Students should demonstrate knowledge of the "physics" of perspective sketching
• Students should demonstrate use of perspective charts or construction of the believable cube in setting up a perspective drawing
• Students should become increasingly loose with their style in more organic forms.

Task:

1. Students will review the office-method form of perspective drawing.

2. Students will practice use of perspective charts in illustration

3. With the use of perspective charts or construction of a believable cube, students are to start constructing perspectives of the final design project in studio

4. Students are to draw a series of sketches for use in their final studio design project

Materials needed:

Lots of yellow tracing paper
Set of perspective charts (optional)
rendering materials

Assigned: Thursday, Nov. 10
Due: Tuesday, Nov. 15; beginning of class
