PROJECT 7 - PEN AND INK: Drawing one
Objectives:
Task:
In class, we will develop a "palette" of various shading techniques with pen and ink. Palette and exercises will follow those of LaSeau, pages 21 - 23.
2. Using LIN, page 47, students should sketch any drawing of their choice other than the drawing in the lower right using pen and ink techniques illustrated. Drawings should approximate 200 percent enlargement from book
a. Students should build the layers of the drawing using crosshatching and other techniques to shade.
b. DO NOT PAINT with the pen, but a series of crisp lines.
c. Students are to "time" their drawings to keep track of how long it takes to complete the work.

Materials needed:
1. Staedtler Pigment Liner no. 01 or Pigma MICRON #1. You may use
black, sepia or brown
2. Eraser
3. Sketchbook
Deadline:
Assigned: Tuesday, Sept. 13
Due: Thursday, Sept. 15, beginning of class
Approximate time to complete: 4 to 6 hours
