Since its inception in 1972, the Department of Interior Architecture has evolved into a uniquely diversified and comprehensive program with studies related to space planning, product design, and furniture design.
The intent of the Department of Interior Architecture is to provide students with the most diverse design education possible. A strong emphasis is placed on the design and the understanding of the psychological connection of products and spaces with their users. The design of interiors, furnitures, and products is viewed as an extension of the architecture that contains them.
